RULES OF NARRATION CHANGE. INTERROGATIVE SENTENCE

1. Reporting verb said এর পরিবর্তে asked / wanted to know / enquired of বসে।
2. Reported speech এর আগে ‘ that ‘ বসে না।
3. Reported speech যদি ‘ Wh’ words( who ; what; why; when ; whose; whom; where; how) দিয়ে শুরু হয় না হয় তবে reported speech এর আগে ‘ if বা whether বসে ; তারপর -sub+verb+ obj form হয় এবং প্রশ্ন বোধক চিহ্ন বসে না এবং inverted comma বসে না।
4. Again reported speech যদি ‘Wh’ words দিয়ে শুর হয় ; তবে সেই ‘ wh’ word টি বসে (if / whether বসে না)এবং তারপর sub+ verb + obj. form হয়।
3&4 অথবা

যদি প্রশ্নটির উত্তর ” হাঁ বা না হয় তবে ; ask বা enquire – এর পরে if বা whether বসাও অন্যত্র কিছুই বসবে না।প্রশ্নটি কে statement – এ রুপান্তরিত করতে হবে।

N:B: Tense & Pronoun change Assertive এর নিয়ম অনুযায়ী হবে।
Eg.
1.Direct:He said to me;” Are you ill?”
Ind: He asked ( or enquired of) me if ( or whether) I was ill.
2.Direct: He said to me ; ” what are you doing?”
Ind. : He asked me what I was doing.

EG.1 ” Are you ill?” এর উত্তর হাঁ বা না হয় তাই if / whether বসেছে।( অন্যভাবে বললে Wh word দিয়ে শুরু হয় নি তাই if / whether বসেছে।
Eg:2. Reported speech ” Wh” word দিয়ে শুরু
হয়েছে তাই ‘ if / whether বসে নি।

3. He said to me ;” Do you hear me?”
4. He said to me ;” Did you hear me?”
5. You said to me ; ” Why have you failed?”
